ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

This statement was last updated on 12th February 2026

We at the Joy of Clean are working to make our site www.thejoyofclean.com accessible to people with disabilities.

What web accessibility is

The Joy of Clean is committed to making our website accessible and easy to use for everyone, including people with disabilities. We want as many people as possible to be able to access our services online, including the ability to browse our site, understand our content, and book a clean.

  1. Our approach to accessibility
We aim to make our website as accessible as reasonably possible and to follow recognised best practice, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, where practicable. Our website is built using the Wix platform and we use its accessibility tools and features to help improve usability.

  2. How accessible our website is
We work to ensure our website is:
Usable with a keyboard (where possible)
Compatible with common screen readers and assistive technologies
Designed with clear headings and readable text
Supported by meaningful link text and logical navigation
Provided with appropriate image text alternatives where content requires it

However, some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible (see section 4).

  1. What you can do on our website
    You should be able to:
Zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen in most areas
Navigate much of the website using only a keyboard
Use your browser or device settings to increase text size, change contrast, or use reading modes
Access the site on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices

  2. Known limitations
We are continuously improving the accessibility of our website, but there may be limitations, including:
Some third-party booking, calendar, payment, chat, or map components may have accessibility constraints that are outside our direct control
Some older images or content may not yet have fully descriptive alternative text
Some colour contrasts, focus indicators, or form error messages may vary depending on device and browser
PDFs or downloads (if any are added) may not always be fully accessible

If you encounter any difficulties, please let us know and we will do our best to provide the information in an accessible format.

  1. Feedback and contact information
If you have trouble using our website, need information in a different format, or would like to report an accessibility issue, please contact us:

Email: hello@thejoyofclean.com

When contacting us, please tell us:
The web page address (URL) where you experienced the issue
What you were trying to do
The device and browser you were using (if possible)

We aim to respond within 5 business days.

  1. Alternative ways to book
If you are unable to use our online booking system, you can book by contacting us by email at hello@thejoyofclean.com. We can confirm availability and take booking details via email.

  2. Enforcement procedure
We take accessibility seriously. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to seek advice or support from the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) in relation to the Equality Act 2010.

  3. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 12 February 2026. It will be reviewed at least annually and updated when we make significant changes to the website.
